Who is responsible

Turtle Labs, head office Kochi, Kerala, India, is the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and the controller under UK and EU GDPR where those apply.

Submissions made on this site are received by Turtle Labs and routed internally to the relevant venture team. Where a venture later operates as its own legal entity, it will have its own notice and this page will say so.

What this site collects

Nothing unless you submit one of two forms.

• Register interest: name, email, company if you give one, anything you write, and which venture you registered for.
• Contact: name, email, company if you give one, your message, and the route you selected.

With each we store the IP address and browser user-agent, for abuse prevention only, and the exact consent wording you agreed to, so a consent can be shown as it was given rather than as the page reads today.

Why we hold it, and for how long

To reply to you, to tell you when a venture opens if you asked, and to keep the site working. We do not sell, rent or enrich your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Enquiries are kept while commercially live and for up to 24 months after our last contact. Waitlist registrations are kept until the venture opens and you have been told, or until you ask us to remove you.

Marketing email goes only to people who asked for it, and every message can be stopped by replying.

Where it is kept

In a MongoDB Atlas database in the AWS Mumbai region (ap-south-1), with web and mail servers in India. Data collected here is stored in India and is not transferred outside it. If that changes we will update this page and set out the safeguards before any transfer.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, stop using it for a purpose, send you a copy, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Email info@turtlelabs.co.in and we will respond within 30 days, without charge and without asking why.

If you are unsatisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or your national supervisory authority in the UK or EU.
